  1. What makes your role as mayor interesting? What has been one of the most memorable moments in your politicial career?
  • I truly love serving the residents of King; every day is different and exciting.
  • There are many memorable moments but I think the best one was the first time I heard from the residents and staff that I have created an atmosphere that allows people the opportunity to speak and be heard. There is a positive energy in the Township. I am very proud and humbled by the positive feedback.

 

  1. What makes you want to get out of bed every morning with a spring in your step?
  • Every day is different; I get out of bed with new challenges and interesting activities ahead of me each day. I am a strong believer that there is lots of time to sleep when we are dead, so I want to enjoy every minute. Time moves quickly but we can each make a difference every day.

 

  1. What are your personal priorities in life?
  • Ensure that our children are well grounded and have a happy future.

 

  1. How are you blessed?
  • I am blessed in so many ways with a large happy, healthy and supportive family. I have my dream job and from the feedback I have been receiving people seem pleased with my job performance. I live in the best place in the world!

 

  1. What are some of your hobbies and/or interests?
  • Our entire family is big into skiing/snowboarding and I love to sail, golf, motocross and play cards.

 

  1. What is something that very few people know about you?
  • I competed in the National Lifeguard competition in Newfoundland in 1990 and I was on the Ontario Youth Sailing Team.

 

  1. What do you love about King?
  • The people; my best friends are relationships built through the years here in King.

 

  1. What message/legacy would you like to leave?
  • That King is beautiful because of the people who are actively involved in our community, so volunteer. And of course, I truly believe that we should always shop locally.

 

  1. What makes you smile/laugh?
  • My family makes me smile every day and my friends make me laugh. And both friends and family make sure I stay centered!
